Solid wire stem, spot on for holding back and edging through in flowing water. I used this float on day 2 of the Riverfest final at Burton Joyce on the Trent for 18lb of quality roach, lovely fishing.
Very stable due to the wire stem and round body combination, the solid plastic tip ensures good buoyancy which helps if you are fishing a bit over depth.
The body shape is actually similar to my Chop float and is based on a very old Italian chub fishing float called an “Umbertide” which was only was available in very small sizes.
